So yesterday I had my 1 hour glucose test. You drink a nasty orange flavored sugary drink adn then sit for an hour and then they draw your blood. I felt pretty crappy after I drank it so i am a little afraid on what the results may be! My doctor said she would call me today, if I didn't hear from her call her Wednesday. I really hope I passed! They make you take it again and wait 4 hours if you don't pass. So I will make Derek take off work and hang out with me that day if so. So the lady taking my blood said she has worked as a secretary up front for about 2 years and was just now coming back to draw blood. She hadn't drawn blood for two years! Let me tell you.. she definitely needed some practice! I know I have baby veins but my goodness! Ouch! She put the needle in and didn't get my vein so started digging in my arm with the needle til she found it, felt so great! Not! My arm is all bruised up now =) Lovely! I look like a meth head lol.
So anyway after my lovely doctors appointment and glucose test I went out to eat with the hubby. I can't get enough of China Wok chinese food! Oh yes! It is AMAZING! I never eat everything off my entire plate anymore but I definitely did there. You kinda have to, it's a sad thing to waste such amazing food!
So after eating with Derek I went home, let the dog out, fed him, and took a nap for a couple hours. I've been so sleepy the past week or so, but I can't ever sleep. It's so annoying! I made Salmon and couscous for dinner and Derek came home sick, so he didn't even get to eat it. Poor guy. I had to leave him at 7:30 to babysit, so off I went to Abbie's (girl I babysit) and hung out there til this morning. Pretty much colored pretty pictures and watched Family guy. I couldn't sleep all night, I fell asleep at 6am, and woke up at 630am to get her up for school. Kinda sucked! So then I dropped her off at school talked to my sister on the phone for an hour and finally went to sleep... And guess what, my body hates me so I slept about 2 and a half hours. I'd like to think it's my body getting me used to not sleeping and soon having a baby around. I guess I will get used to it.
So today is cleaning day, I usually relax on Mondays from the weekend and try to get Laundry and dishes squared away on Tuesday, and then the mopping, vacuuming and all the easy stuff on wednesday. Hopefully I can keep that up when the baby is here. I doubt it though lol. It's 330pm and I've got dishes done and only one load of laundry left to do. Pretty proud of myself not going to lie! I'm going to make chicken soup tonight, it's my sis in laws recipe. And Derek and I are obsessed with it! It's got peppers, onions, diced tomatos, tomato sauce, chicken and some seasonings. Pretty awesome! I forgot to get bread for it though so I guess we will eat grilled cheese or something with it.
Wow I'm bored, pretty sad how all I have written about is what I have doen the past two days. I guess I could mention the majorly cute outfits I got Emily! I went to babies r us right before I went to lunch with Derek yesterday and found some cute little girl clothes on sale for $8.00 an outift, So I ended up getting her three outfits! I got her a peach colored shirt that matched these cute little peach plaid capris, and then a blue top that matched these blue and white butterfly stretchy capris, and then a really cute onesie with ruffled sleeves and matching rainbow stretchy pants! I think she may wear the rainbow outfit home from the hospital! So cute! Ahhhh... I love buyingmy daughter clothes! Tomorrow I am going book shopping for her book shelves. I need quite a few books to fill up those shelves so hopefully I can find a bunch at thrift stores or baby stores around town for cheap. I am sure once garage sale season is here I can get a ton!
Well I guess I am going to go finish up laundry and cleaning and start thinking about dinner and maybe cut up some veggies. Hopefully i will have something more exciting to write about in a couple days.
TTyl!!!
